Who Is Eligible for a SLICE Award?

All ECS staff below the associate/assistant director level who have held at least half-time appointments for one or more years in one of the ECS units are eligible. (see list of our departments here)

Who Should I Nominate?

Nominated staff members should show commitment to the ECS Core Values. Nominees should model one or more of the qualities associated with each value. (See list at right.)

What Will Winners Receive?

The ECS vice president and associate vice presidents will present winners with $1000, an Exemplary Service Award (two paid days off) and a framed campus photo at the winners’ workplace in the presence of their supervisors and peers.

How Are Award Winners Chosen?

Winners of the SLICE Awards are chosen by their peers (staff members below the associate/assistant director level). Each year the office of the vice president selects seven ECS staff members to serve on the Selection Committee. Winners will be announced in December 2007.
