In Memoriam: Anthony C. Hilfer

April 2008: The Press was greatly sorry to learn that Anthony C. Hilfer, former coeditor of Texas Studies in Literature and Language and author of UT Press books The Ethics of Intensity in American Fiction and The Crime Novel: A Deviant Genre, died in an automobile accident on April 11. Our sympathies go out to his family and colleagues.

In Memoriam: Raúl Salinas

February 2008: We were saddened to learn of the recent death of Chicano poet and activist Raúl Salinas. The Press published a collection of Salinas's journalism and correspondence, raúlrsalinas and the Jail Machine.
