Utilities DraftingDrafting Section of Utilities and Energy Management provides design, drafting, CAD graphics, surveying, property tracking, copying, scanning, and photography services for the following U&EM departments and shops:
The Drafting Section of U&EM supports the entire university community and contractors with the most complete library of "As Built" records of on-campus buildings, as well as off-campus university facilities. It also provides utility composite drawings of specific areas upon request prior to excavations and construction. The Drafting Section also updates and maintains a Property Tracking graphic database and documentation for the main campus; a document database for university property located off campus and also maintains an inventory of different lists relating to UT buildings. The Drafting Section's survey crew uses computerized technology
to gather campus physical features and utility information that
the Drafting Section uses to compile their map of university campus utilities
in AutoCAD format. |
