About Student Research

Students at The University of Texas at Austin have played key roles in research. Graduate students have discovered an effective way to develop anthrax antibodies and won a patent for new automotive applications.

Undergraduates get support for research from the Undergraduate Research Fellowships, which are sponsored by the University Cooperative Society. In the fall 2003 semester, 131 undergraduate students received a total of $128,000 for research projects monitored by faculty members.
