TRAINING SUMMARY:

All human subject research requires compliance with the educational mandate for human participants' protections. The various means of complying with the training are described below. However, as of June 1, 2005, all investigators, researchers, and study personnel will be required to complete the human participants training as outlined above.

All applications require PIs to upload their training verification into IRBaccess prior to submission. IRBaccess is intentionally designed to only allow submission by PIs with human subjects training on file. If you are unable to locate the submit button it may well be because you have not yet uploaded your training verification. Click here to enter IRBaccess and/or upload your training verification.

THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN POLICY:

All key personnel, originally listed or later added to a project through an amendment, must upload their "training verification" into IRBaccess .   As of June 1, 2005, in order to comply with the policy, researchers are required to complete the The Office of Research Support's four-part online training: History of Human Subjects Protections, Ethics and Federal Regulations, Human Subjects Approval at The University of Texas at Austin, and the Belmont Report. Once the online tutorial is completed PIs and investigators must complete step 5 and upload their "training verification" into IRBaccess. To do so, key personnel must log onto IRBaccess and enter their training method type and date. IRBaccess is intentionally designed to only allow submission of applications with all key personnel training on file. To upload documentation of the educational training requirement visit the Researcher Training Verification page (EID Required). Training is valid for 3 years.
