Community Organizations
What is a Community Organization?
A community organization is a feature in Blackboard (a courseware product
that provides easy access to Internet-based services to support teaching,
learning, and research) that allows members of campus groups and organizations
to communicate and collaborate online in a similar way to online Blackboard
courses. For example, organization members can share documents, discuss
topics, and chat in real-time.
What features are available?
You can post online documents, announcements, and information that
can be accessed by the organization's members. Members can participate
in threaded discussions and chat rooms for real-time interaction, and
exchange e-mail with members within the organization. An organization
calendar can be posted as well. Group pages allow organization members
to share Web pages.
Why would I want one?
To share information with members of the organization in a centralized
location. |
