How to Load Your Bike onto Buses

All UT shuttles and many Capital Metro mainline buses have racks that hold up to two bikes. Loading a bike on the bus rack might seem intimidating if you’re not sure what to do. Just follow the simple steps below (also printed on the racks).

 Step 1
After the bus has stopped, lift the handle up and then pull the rack towards you.  Lower it down gently and don’t just let it fall.

Step 2
Look at the spot closest to the bus and see which side the hook is on.  You want to put your bike on the open space closest to the bus with your front tire on the side of the hook.

 Step 3
After your bike is on the rack pull the hook out and over your front tire.  If you have any questions just ask the bus driver and they will give you a hand.
