Departmental
Parking
DEPARTMENTAL PARKING
Garage parking validation
stamps are $4 per stamp. Each
stamp is good for one
full day of parking.
ALL PARKING VALIDATION
STAMPS ARE FOR USE
BY OFFICIAL UNIVERSITY
VISITORS ONLY.
Just as a reminder
there is no charge
for the first 30 minutes
in all of the University
garages. Anyone who
parks from 31 minutes
(or greater), from
the time listed on
the garage entry ticket,
until the posted garage
closing time (or midnight
at BRG), would need
one validation stamp
to cover their parking
charge.
If your guest should
receive a late envelope
at any of our garages
we will gladly accept
their ticket and one
appropriate validation
stamp (per day) as
payment in full. These
can be dropped at the
convenient drop boxes/slots
located at our garage
exits or mailed back
to the garage in the
late envelope that
will be on your guest’s
windshield.
Validation stamps do
not expire so stamps
purchased now serve as
a guard against any future
hourly price increases.
Validation stamps can
be purchased from any
garage and may be used
at
any
garage. The current
price of validation stamps
reflects a savings of
nearly 33% off the regular
rate for daily parking.
Validation stamps are
non-refundable. Garage
validation stamps are
valid only during operational
hours of the garages.
If you have questions
email us at
garages@www.utexas.edu
USING A VALIDATION
STAMPED ENTRY TICKET
TO EXIT THE GARAGE
The validation stamp
should be applied directly
to the parking entrance
ticket being careful
not to cover the magnetic
stripe on the ticket.
The customer then presents
the ticket to the garage
cashier when they are
ready to exit. All
University garages
are central pay garages.
Please have your guest/visitors
take their paper entry
ticket to the centrally
located office before
they attempt to exit.
There are no cashiers
at the exits at any
University garages.
HOW TO PURCHASE
VALIDATION STAMPS
Stamp Validation purchases are by IDT only unless special arrangements have been
made with the Garage Manager.
Please print this letter,
complete it entirely, and take it to any University garage.
Since validation stamps are like cash, all purchases must be made in person at
any of the garage offices. Garage office hours are 7:45am to 5:00pm, M-F. Special
arrangements may be made to pick stamps up during non-traditional business hours.
Request for additional information regarding validation stamps can be emailed
to garages@www.utexas.edu
