Fleet Management Services

Since May 2002, Fleet Management Services has provided services aimed at improving the quality of the University of Texas fleet of vehicles. By centralizing the management of all vehicle services, the University is better equipped to meet state requirements for utilizing and maintaining a vehicle fleet. The University will also be able to improve the quality of the fleet through preventative maintenance and replacement schedules. 

Fleet staff will provide training to department personnel on their responsibilities under the University of Texas Vehicle Fleet Management Plan (pdf).

Roadside Assistance

During business hours:
Call the Automotive Shop at 512-471-4668 to request a Service Call.

After business hours:
Call Aus-Tex Towing & Recovery at 512-452-2222 or 512-836-7443 to have your vehicle towed to the Automotive Shop.

Accident Reporting Procedure

  1. Immediately  report the accident to the police and obtain a copy of the police report.
  2. Complete an ACCORD* form and contact the Office of the Controller within 48 hours.
  3. See the Office of the Controller for detailed instructions.

* An ACCORD form is included in the UT Vehicle Insurance Packet located in the glove compartment of your UT vehicle.
