Bob
Harkins, Ed.D.
Associate Vice President for Campus Safety and Security
(AVPCSS)
On September 1, 2005, Bob Harkins became
the AVP for Campus Safety & Security. With over 12
years extensive knowledge of leading the Campus Safety & Security
programs at two major universities, Bob is coordinating
the activities of Parking and Transportation Services, Environmental
Health and Safety, Fire Prevention Services, and the University
of Texas Police Department. He spent 27 years in the Army,
retiring as a Colonel. He was awarded 2 silver Stars for
valor and 2 Purple Hearts. Bob was awarded his Doctorate
from Pittsburgh
University in 1998. Bob continuously plans the steps toward
a more safe, secure
and pedestrian-friendly campus by implementing alternative
transportation programs to make the UT campus a safer place
to work and visit. |

Robert Codner
Coordinator, The University Student Shuttle Bus System
Robert began his career with Capital Metro in 1986. Robert has worked for the transportation authority in customer service, finance, treasury, as an alternative transportation supervisor, operations supervisor, and in October 2006, became the contracted services coordinator. In his current position, Robert serves as Capital Metro’s liaison to UT Parking and Transportation Services and The University of Texas at Austin. Robert is responsible for contract oversight of the university, First Transit, Veolia Transportation, Capital Area Rural Transportation, Austin Independent School District, and E-Bus.
