Parking and Transportation Services
is responsible for all administrative functions relating
to the management, maintaining and planning of campus
parking lots, parking garages and shuttle service; the
issuance of parking permits; the collection of administrative
enforcement charges for parking and traffic violations;
the acceptance of appeals from such violations; and
the processing of refund requests upon withdrawal from
The University.
Currently, Texas law prohibits state
universities
from using state funds for any parking operations.
To
meet the financial needs of all parking initiatives,
Parking and Transportation Services must rely on permit,
garage, meter, and citation revenues to pay for all
operating, enforcement, maintenance, and administrative
expenses.
