When it comes to learning how to be an exemplary research scholar, we are all exposed to different resources, so we thought you might find it useful to have a forum to exchange such tips and views. The following suggestions have been written by graduate students in the Department of Educational Psychology, and we welcome contributions from all other disciplines.
Please take a moment to think about what valuable lessons you have learned from working alongside faculty that might help other graduate students with their research endeavors. Or maybe share what was your biggest research mistake and what you learned from that. Perhaps you could write a paragraph or two on the most effective research team you've worked on, or articulate what resources (books, web sites, tapes, etc.) you have come across that have helped enhance your research skills.
Let's pool together and share what we know about "best practice" in graduate student research. We're looking forward to hearing from you. Please send your contributions to GradLife.
