Calendar of Key Dates and Events for Graduate Students

Official registration and payment deadline information is published in the Academic Calendar and Course Schedule. Some specific official dates have been listed below but always check the Academic Calendar for the complete listing. That calendar is the official source of information for registration and payment deadlines.

To pay your tuition and fee bill online, go to the "MyTuitionBill" web site.
To pay in person, go to the cashiers in Main Building, Room 8, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Key Student Services Dates: Spring 2008

Date	Event
SPRING, 2008
January 7-8	Add/drop for the spring semester for students who have registered and paid their tuition and fees. Registration for continuing and readmitted students.
January 9	Registration for spring semester for new and readmitted students who have not yet registered.
January 10	Registration for the spring semester for continuing students who have not yet registered.
January 11	Add/drop for the spring semester for students who registered and paid their tuition and fees by January 2. Registration for all students who have not yet registered.
January 14	Classes begin.
January 17	Graduate and law students must pay tuition and fees by 5:00 p.m. Last day of the official add/drop period; after this date, changes in registration require the approval of the department chair and the graduate dean. Students with a zero bill must confirm their registration online to prevent cancellation.
January 21	Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - Holiday
January 30	Twelfth Class Day Last day to drop a class for a possible refund Last day a graduate student may, with the required approvals, add a class.
February 11	Last day to drop a class without a possible academic penalty
March 10-15	SPRING BREAK
March 20	Last day to apply for a graduate degree
April 14-19, 21-25	Registration for the summer session and the fall semester for continuing and readmitted students.
March 24	Last day to change grade status to or from the credit/no credit basis. Last day for new doctoral candidates to change registration to dissertation.
May 2	Last class day. Last day to submit master's report, recital, thesis, doctoral dissertation or treatise to the graduate dean. Last day a graduate student may, with the required approvals, drop a class or withdraw from the university.
May 7-10, 12-13	Spring semester final examinations.
May 17	Commencement (official graduation date) Graduate School Convocation

April 10	Building a Research Career from the Dissertation with Dr. Tommy Darwin, 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
April 18	Part II of 2-part Writing Workshop with Dr. Leslie Jarmon. Literature Review Sections and Background Research: Finding Your Academic Voice, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.
