LBJ Conference Services
The Office of Conferences and Training will assist
LBJ School faculty and students in planning and hosting events in conjunction
with Policy Research projects, visiting dignitaries, public policy symposia,
and other special projects. When there is funding for such projects, the
Office will recoup its actual costs and charge for staff time. The office
also provides these services in conjunction with co-sponsored conferences
and symposia of the school.
The range of conference services include:
- Registration - mailing , collecting fees, providing confirmations; preparing nametags; supervising onsite registration
- Conference materials management - duplicating and distributing materials; providing signage
- Speaker interface - inviting speakers; making travel and hotel arrangements; collecting biographical information; providing audiovisual services
- Logistics - arranging for meeting space and sleeping rooms; ordering refreshments and meals
- Special events - identifying special venues and suggesting entertainment
- Planning - obtaining mailing lists, assisting with agenda; designing and executing brochures.
The Office has experience in providing these services
