Server Technical Support

Overview

Server Technical Support provides cost-effective, reliable technical support for contracted servers in computing facilities and departmental networks across campus. Staff manage all aspects of related information technology, including consulting and server administration. Student laboratory management contracts are also available and include agreements for hiring, training, and maintaining student labs using Labman.

  • Unix, Windows, and Macintosh server administration
  • Administration of database servers, anti-virus servers, network devices, and more
  • Computer lab administration
  • Web services (Apache, Microsoft IIS, and PHP)
  • Directory services (including Microsoft Active Directory), file/print services, mail services, and license management services

Cost

One hour of initial consulting time is available at no cost to UT faculty and staff. Charges for additional time depend on the services needed.
