Overview
ITS Software Distribution is no longer able to provide student licenses for SUDAAN. Students at UT Austin who would like to use this software are able to access SUDAAN through Windows Terminal Services.
SUDAAN is a single program consisting of a family of procedures used to analyze data from complex surveys and other observational and experimental studies involving cluster-correlated data. A complex sample may be multistage, stratified, or clustered. Many samples also have unequal probabilities of selection, or are drawn from finite populations.
SUDAAN enables you to use survey data to obtain consistent estimates of population parameters and their standard errors in accordance with sample design. SUDAAN also produces consistent estimates of regression coefficients, descriptive statistics, and their associated standard errors for cluster-correlated and repeated measures data applications in clinical, epidemiological, toxicological, and behavioral research.
SUDAAN comes in two versions: stand-alone and SAS-Callable. If you are primarily a SPSS or Minitab user, you will want to install the stand-alone version. If you are primarily a SAS user, then you will want to install the SAS-Callable version.
The SUDAAN stand-alone version can read data from a variety of sources including text files, SPSS data files, SAS data sets, and other sources. It contains the entire set of SUDAAN procedures.
The SAS-Callable version is used in conjunction with SAS for Windows. The SAS-Callable version uses the same syntax as the stand-alone version and directly reads SAS data sets. In addition, the SUDAAN syntax can be embedded within other SAS syntax and the results from the SUDAAN procedures are included with other SAS output.
Cost and Eligibility
This product is not distributed by Software Distribution & Sales. However students, faculty, and staff at The University of Texas at Austin may access this product on using Windows Terminal Services.

System Requirements
