How do I access mathematical and statistical software on the ITS Windows Terminal Server?
To access the statistical and mathematical applications on the ITS time sharing system, you will need to add a Windows Terminal Services account.
In the new system you will have a remote desktop, but it will look just like a local Windows desktop.You will need to configure your remote desktop as follows:
- Configuring Your Remote Desktop Client for Windows
- Configuring Your Remote Desktop Client for Macintosh OS X
To access statistical applications:
- From the Start menu, select All Programs and then Statistics.
- Choose the statistics application you wish to use.
To access mathematical applications:
- From the Start menu, select All Programs and then Mathematics.
- Choose the mathematics application you wish to use.
You can switch from your remote desktop to your local desktop by using the minimize button on the remote desktop.
