Hotfix for SPSS 16.0.x
SPSS Technical Support has recently detected a problem in SPSS 16.0.x, where changes are made to an existing data file and the file appears to be saved, but the file is missing from the system. The problem can occur if you exit the application without explicitly saving your file first, or if you are trying to save a large file, or if the saving process takes more than three seconds.
Windows and Macintosh Users
A hotfix has been made available for SPSS to prevent this problem from occurring. To download the hotfix:
- Go to http://support.spss.com.
- Click Login to Online Tech Support, and then enter your user name and password. If you have forgotten your user id or password you can use the Find Password feature on our Web site. This can be found at: http://support.spss.com/password.html. You can also log in using Guest for the username, and Guest for the password.
- Select SPSS, choose Patches, then select SPSS for Windows.
