Overview
Under the Red Hat Education Program, departments can use Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) WS (for workstations) and AS (for servers) Academic Editions. Please see the Red Hat Education Program Web site for more specific details of product offerings, product descriptions, and system requirements.
Cost and Eligibility
Licensing is available for departmentally-owned computers only.
Although students, faculty, and staff are not covered by this program, free Linux software is available through the Fedora Program.
Because this is an offering from Red Hat, not a special deal established by the University, any qualified educational institution can participate.
