How to Buy (UT Austin Students, Faculty, Staff)

Students and faculty/staff home users can purchase one copy of each MSCA product (installation media) through the Campus Computer Store located in the Flawn Academic Center (FAC). Please note that products covered under the licensing agreement are only available so long as Microsoft releases media to student fulfillment distributors.

For a complete list of available products, pricing, payment information, and information for customers shopping from outside of Austin, please contact the Campus Computer Store.

Please note that most products available to students and faculty/staff home users are individually-keyed. This means that each unique CD/DVD or CD/DVD set has its own unique product key that cannot be recovered or recreated by ITS or the store if lost. See the Microsoft Handout distributed by the Store for detailed information on product installation, product keys, and other important information.

How to Buy (UT Austin Departments)

UT Austin Departments may purchase their media from the Campus Computer Store or from the Third-Party Large Account Reseller, Dell Computer Corp., whichever they prefer. See the Microsoft Handout distributed by the Store for detailed information on product installation, product keys, and other important information.

NOTE: You will NOT receive hard copy documentation with either these distributions. If you require a hard copy manual, check with bookstores that stock computer software manuals. You may also use Microsoft Support Online.

How to Buy (UT System)

Students and faculty/staff work-at-home users who are eligible to purchase software under the Microsoft Campus Agreement can obtain products from their campus distribution point.

Departments may purchase media from their campus distribution point, from the UT Austin Campus Computer Store, or from Dell Computer Corp, our Microsoft Select Large Account Reseller. Departmental volume (aka "Select") media is designed for installation on multiple computers, and usually requires a Volume License Key provided by the campus contact for this program. For more information on volume media and Volume License Keys, please contact your local campus distribution point.
