Microsoft Campus Agreement

Where can I find my product key?

UT Austin Faculty/Staff for Departmental Use Only

Faculty and staff may obtain license keys online for certain products covered under the Microsoft Campus Agreement (please note UT EID is required). Faculty and staff can obtain volume license keys for other products by contacting SDS. Volume license keys are for use only on University-owned equipment.

UT Austin Students and Faculty/Staff work-at-home

Students and faculty/staff work-at-home users are entitled to purchase one (1) copy of each available Microsoft title available to them; you may not be permitted to purchase replacement media should your initial copy be lost or destroyed.

Most products now require a unique 25-digit product key in order to install and/or activate the product. Because each CD requires a unique key, neither Microsoft nor ITS can offer you a replacement key.

If you lose either your key, or the actual installation media, you should contact SDS for more information.

UT System Faculty/Staff for Departmental Use Only

Faculty and staff who will be installing MSCA-covered products on University-owned equipment, can use the University's Volume License Keys (VLKs). You should contact your campus distribution point for information on obtaining these keys.

These keys are NOT for use with student or faculty/staff work-at-home media. The university's VLKs are for use only by current UT System Faculty and Staff eligible under the terms of the Microsoft Campus Agreement, and should only be known to employees who have a need to install and manage University computer systems. Do NOT distribute these keys to any other individuals.
