Information Technology Services (ITS), in connection with the Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC), is in the final planning stages for the 2006 ITS Survey. This survey is designed to measure technology satisfaction, needs and future trends at The University of Texas at Austin. As in previous years, the survey will be distributed to 800 undergraduate students, 400 graduate students, 400 faculty members and 400 staff members. The survey will be made available to participants on October 30th.
This is the fifth consecutive year that ITS has conducted a campus IT survey, but the first where we have collaborated so closely with ITAC. Understanding the specific information needs of ITAC is a major component of the 2006 survey. Specifically, data accumulated will be used to better understand the satisfaction levels and needs of our student body in order to make decisions about funding priorities, technology needs and service enhancements. Data from the survey will be analyzed by ITS Research Consulting with a goal of delivering a results report in spring 2007. Previous survey reports are available online.
