Overview
Important: During the summer, the restricted.utexas.edu wireless network was upgraded to include WPA2 protocol functionality, which improves the stability and reliability of wireless connections.
If you use Windows XP, you may need to re-run the installer. If you have an older device that does not support WPA2, you may need to complete an exception form to use guest.utexas.edu.
ITS provides the campus community with both wired and wireless access to UTnet (the university's network), as well as the external Internet. Many public areas on campus have Ethernet ports, and wireless access is available in most campus buildings. Current students, faculty, staff, and official visitors can get access by logging in using their UT EID and password. A department's technical support contact can grant access for official guests.
