Celebrating Student Employees
Student Employee of the Year Competition
The UT Austin Student Employee of the Year Award is given annually to an outstanding student employee who has made a unique contribution to the university and has demonstrated exceptional reliability, quality of work, initiative, attitude, and professionalism.
The competition is sponsored by Human Resource Services and the Texas Exes and is supported by donations to the University Operations Student Employee Recognition Program fund. Donations in any amount are welcome!
The winner was recognized at the President’s Student Leadership Awards event hosted by the Texas Exes on April 2, 2012, and received a certificate and an award of $500.
All nominees were recognized at an event sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs during National Student Employment Week.
2011-2012 Award
We are pleased to recognize Bianca Wugofski (pictured above), Student Associate at Texas Performing Arts, as The University of Texas at Austin’s 2011-2012 Student Employee of the Year.

2010-2011 Award
On April 4, 2011, Brandon Okafor (pictured on left), Student Associate in the Jackson School of Geosciences, was presented The University of Texas at Austin’s first Student Employee of the Year Award.
