What's Happening at LACS

Greetings!

We're here to help you with every step of your job search - whether you need to write a resume, interview for a job, apply to law school, or figure out how to best use your liberal arts degree. Our approach is simple:

  • Where Are You Now?
  • Where Would You Like to Go?
  • How Can We Help You Get There?
Workshops and events are going on throughout the year, and you need to pay attention NOW because many opportunities only occur one time during the year! Here are the details:

Have you registered with our office? The first step to using our services is to set up your LiberalArts@Work account which lists numerous jobs and internships, our recruiting and events schedule, and links to all sorts of career support.

Want to meet with a Career Coach?
We can help you focus your plans, prepare for an interview, and find the best potential employers or internship sites.
Appointments are available Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm. Call 512-471-7900 to set one up.

Need to start your resume?

Want to work with a person?
Beginning Tuesday, September 2, peer resume advisors are available for walk-ins on: Monday 1pm-3pm & Tuesday 2pm-4pm.

Prefer to start on your own?
User "Optimal Resume" our online resume building tool. Just access it through your LA@W account.

Considering Law School?
If you just have a quick question, pre-law walk-ins are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00-4:00. Otherwise pre-law advising is by appointment only.

We also have an extensive library with lots of job information and resources! Please visit our office Monday-Friday from 8:00-5:00. We are open over the lunch hour!
