Symposium Spotlights the History and Future of Latino Printmaking

The Consejo Grafico, in conjunction with member organization The Serie Project, Inc. and the Center for Mexican American Studies, will host a symposium titled "U.S. Latino Printmaking in the 21st Century."

Member organizations, as well as art collectors and art historians, will discuss the history and future of Latino printmaking, and the importance of preserving these works of art for future generations.

The free event is co-sponsored by the College of Fine Arts and the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement.

The Serie Project is a nonprofit Latino arts organization that produces, promotes and exhibits serigraph (silk screen) prints created by established and emerging local artists.

Consejo Gráfico is a network of independent Latino art organizations that work to foster opportunities for Latino artists to engage in printmaking, and strives to gain appreciation for the importance and value of the Latino printmaking tradition.
