- Assign/Assignment
- The process of deploying a template to a class to collect survey results
during a particular date range.
- Designee
- A person, such as a Teaching Assistant, that is given permission by
an Instructor of Record to have access to OCA in a specific class (unique
number).
- Open/Close Date
- The range of dates that a student may submit results for a given survey.
Surveys open at 12:01 a.m. on the Open Date, and close at midnight on
the Closing Date.
- Personal Library
- A list containing all of the templates, questions, response sets,
and other text that you have created in OCA.
- Preview
- To see a survey/template as it would be presented to the person completing
the survey.
- Question
- Basic element. Items (questions) have a stem, response set, and response
options (if multiple choice).
- Question Type
- A response style of question. For example, multiple choice and short
answer.
- Respondent
- The student who submits responses to a survey.
- Response Options
- List of defined choices that are used with multiple choice question
types.
- Response Set
- A group of response options. (For example, Strongly Agree, Agree,
Neutral, Disagree, Strongly Disagree.)
- Survey
- The object which is deployed to a class to collect responses. In the
OCA system, a questionnaire is called a Template before it is deployed
to a class, and a Survey after it has been deployed.
- Template
- A questionnare that can be used to assigned to a class to collect
results. In the OCA system, a questionnaire is called a Template before
it is deployed to a class, and a Survey after it has been deployed.
- Template Library
- A list of templates that are ready to be assigned to a class to collect
results.
