Psychopathology in Action: A clinical diagnostic tool for students

The Psychopathology in Action website was developed to help students learn the critical skills of clinical diagnosis in an interactive and engaging online environment. The central learning problem or challenge this project addresses involves how students with little to no clinical experience can envision how mental disorders manifest themselves in people's lives. Further, without realistic case material, students often struggle learning how to apply complex diagnostic criteria. The more specific objectives relevant to the Psychopathology course includes:

  1. Learning to distinguish different clinical diagnosis on realistic case material
  2. Recognizing the challenges and limitations to applying diagnostic criteria
  3. Enhancing diagnostic and clinical recommendations skills
