The CIT has alliances with departments and organizations both on campus and beyond to enhance services to faculty and and to collaborate in mutual efforts to extend the reach of technology in teaching and learning.

Center for Teaching Effectiveness
The CTE assists UT Austin faculty and TAs in providing instruction that is consistent with the best information on quality teaching and learning at the post-secondary level. It provides both basic and advanced information about the teaching/learning process through group seminars, classes, self-study materials, and individual consultation on specific questions.

Measurement and Evaluation Center
The MEC assists the UT Austin community with general measurement and program evaluation services, consults with faculty members in designing research and in preparing research proposals, assists academic departments and University offices in gathering information for making administrative and instructional decisions, and provides supervised training experience in educational research and program evaluation for doctoral students.

UT Web Services
Formerly known as TeamWeb, this group is responsible for maintaining, developing, and planning the future of UT's central Web services. In a section of UT's Web site called Learning to Publish, the group provides valuable information about publishing options and services, as well as links to a number of useful tutorials.

UT Austin instructional technology support centers
In addition to the CIT, there are a number of centers for digital instructional media production within individual colleges at UT Austin. Some offer training and support services as well as specialized facilities for digital production.

New Media Centers
The Center for Instructional Technologies is a member of New Media Centers, a collaborative network of institutions and corporations serving as a catalyst to integrate new media into education. As a part of its affiliation with New Media Centers, the CIT receives discounted site licenses from Adobe and Macromedia for their popular software packages, an important aspect of its ability to offer the latest in technology to campus learners and developers.

Partnering with companies
CIT actively seeks the participation of companies in its programs and projects, and welcomes inquiries from companies interested in supporting instructional technologies in learning and teaching.
